As a registered dietitian who frequently uses MyFitnessPal for my own tracking—and with my clients—I see how time constraints can challenge consistent logging. But MyFitnessPal's new voice recording feature simplifies the process, making it quick and easy for busy users.
For example, I've been using the feature to track my typical breakfast: two scrambled eggs, a slice of whole-wheat toast, chicken sausage and avocado, with coffee.
It takes about 15 seconds to say that to the app and evaluate it– A deadline that even the busiest people can manage!

The audio logging feature in MyFitnessPal offers several benefits for food tracking.
You can record food and drink items in the MyFitnessPal database (which is one of the largest). Weight, exercise, and custom meals and recipes cannot be registered via voice commands at this time. Water can only be booked as part of your breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack.
It works best when you describe what you ate (or drank), what the serving size was, and which food you ate (or drank). For example, “For breakfast I had a cup of plain Greek yogurt, a drizzle of honey, a handful of blueberries, and a small cup of coffee.”
Voice Log is available on iOS and Android devices but may require updates for full compatibility on all models. Visit the app store to make sure you're using the most up-to-date version of the app.
No, the MyFitnesspal Voice Logging feature requires an internet connection to process voice commands.
Currently, the voice logging feature is only available in English and its availability is limited to the US market.
