Good book on spinal stenosis – BionicOldGuy

I read an excellent book for patients by physical therapist Terry Night: “Rejuvenating Your Own Spinal Stenosis: Strategies to Improve Your Spinal Health”. First of all, it is very encouraging, pointing out that many older people have spinal problems and have no symptoms. She points out that factors over which we have a lot of control, such as inflammation and moisture, play a big role in how severe symptoms are. She has worked with many patients over the years He did They have severe symptoms, often worse than mine, and have improved greatly using the strategies outlined in the book, including aerobic exercise, spine and hip stretches, strengthening the muscles around the spine, and lifestyle changes. If symptoms persist, or if you experience severe symptoms such as numbness or loss of bladder control, there is a final discussion on surgical options.

I got some great ideas from here on how to improve exercises to avoid burning my lumbar spine, as well as new exercises to try. I highly recommend this book to anyone with spinal problems.
