“No, we don't,” said the singer.
Cabello rarely shares her thoughts on the time she spent with Mendes. The two made their public debut as a couple in October 2019, but were friends long before that.
However, when she talks about her relationship – as she did in a podcast appearance earlier this year – Cabello seems to have no ill will towards her first relationship.
“I always take care of him and love him. He is such a good person,” he shared.
“I'm lucky because some people have exes who are terrible, and he's not. He's a really kind, good person.”

“(It was) kind of like, 'Yeah, this doesn't really fit (anymore),' It took both of us less time to say, 'We don't really need to try so hard to make it work. It's all good, let's move on.”
Looking back on his experience with his exes, Mendes reflected that while he meant no harm, his actions still caused pain for one – or both – of his former partners.
“The biggest lesson I've learned is that no one gets out of this life without being hurt,” he surmises, “and no one gets out of this life without hurting someone.”
